 There are four characteristics of critical thinking. 1. Active Listening 2. Curiosity 3. Self Discipline 4. Humility 1. Active Listening Active listening is a technique for listening to and responding to another person that enhances comprehension between the two parties. Effective communicators are active listers. It is significant because it enables us to recognize and value the opinions and feelings of others. 2. Curiosity Curiosity is a quality related to inquisitive thinking such as exploration, investigation, and learning, evidenced by observation in humans and animals. Curiosity is heavily associated with all aspects of human development, which derives from the process of learning and the desire to acquire knowledge and skill.  3. Critical Thinking What is critical thinking?   We can introduce critical thinking as questioning, analyzing, interpreting, and making a judgment about what you read, hear, say, or write.  Who is a Critical Thinker?   A person who is capable of critical thinking can reason and reason clearly about what they should or shouldn't believe. They are capable of thinking for themselves and reflecting on reaching a well-informed decision. Why Critical Thinking?   People who use critical thinking are better able to understand their own goals, motivations, and selves. You can alter your circumstances, foster personal development, and increase your level of general satisfaction when you can derive knowledge to identify the most crucial components and apply those to your life. If we have never critically examined what are we believing, they are not exactly us. We can think outside the box through critical thinking.
